More About This Website

So I knit. And I think about knitting. I think about those who knit before me. The lore of knitting and the lure of knitting. It is all about how I knit in my life and what knitting means to me.

I am Jackie. Forty One.

Stay-at-home mom. A recently freed graduate student at University of Chicago. Homemaker. I do my best to make the home. I feel like I run a household.

My wonderful children are George - 13 , Alexander - 11 and Evangeline Kay - 10 (Yes, that is her first name and I do know that it is really long. But, with all her spunk, she can take it). They are great. Kids are so amazing. At least my kids are. Sure they are a little out there, and most of the time I feel like I live with drunk midgets, hey, they are fun drunks. Except when they are mean drunks. Well, you get what you get, and that's it. I think I'll keep 'em.

I am an outdoor lady.  I like wide open spaces and plenty of fresh air.  I can light a campfire with only two matches.  That sort of makes me feel bad-ass.

I love my friends and my sister as much as I love my kids.  But in a totally different way, since it isn't appropriate to drink with my kids.  They are my rocks and keep me sane.  They are more important to me than anything in the world.

I am an avid runner. Obviously an avid knitter.  And I love to bake.  I think I am funny. I went through a spell where I wasn't so funny, but I think I am back to being funny. I believe in the power of people and the good in people too.

Life is pretty good, you know?
